one of the most maxims that I are trying to reside through is that I’m both a part of the answer or I’m part of the difficulty. In that vein, I’m scripting this piece on Saturday morning. Like most of us, I’ve spent a very good element of the last two days looking at in disbelief and horror, the events unfolding in D.C. And like many people, coping with the gamut of feelings from overwhelming disappointment to an more and more darkening depression, to fear of the arriving days. This morning I locate myself wondering what lessons are there that we've learned as cyclocross athletes that may translate into training that might scale down the probabilities of an identical hobbies happening sooner or later.

As I contemplate this, there’s one overarching lesson that I consider is value sharing. It’s critical to commit to any pastime, giving your full one hundred% to every engaging in. It matters no longer what difficulty or subject matter we’re coping with. As athletes, it starts off as quickly as we commit to reaching success in our chosen activity, whether cyclocross or badminton. If we aren’t inclined to make that commitment, we open ourselves up to disappointment. I’m certain that many of the “demonstrators” in D.C. This past week had made that dedication as neatly. From taking note of the rhetoric, it appears so.
