 While there are still so many animals waiting to be reunited, there have also been many pets who’ve happily reunited with their families thanks to the endless work of the ASPCA and local animal shelters. One of those heartwarming reunions was between a veteran and his dog.

We should make a blog with found animals from disasters. For me it is my worst nightmare to loose my dog, that she does not know where i am. But than again my dog is always with me. He did what he felt best!!But without going into issues I would have died with my boy if needed he is my family and I know my two legged family get cross with me but my boy is my heart,doesn't mean others don't love their dogs any less and all ended good in this case. Nor would I leave my dog. He's just as important as I am. And he needs me to live and care for him. All dogs would be terrified to suddenly be deserted by their owners. There is a volunteer organization in Oregon that has rescued and saved 20,000 animals in the last month. When the fires were burning upriver from me (the fire came to within 14 miles of us) I saw convoys of trucks and horse trailers going up and back, hauling animals out. It was a beautiful thing to see. I am so inspired by my community.
